Thelxis

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Thelxis is a macOS app that rewrites and translates the text you select. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not, and who else is involved.

The short version: the text you select and transform is never stored or logged on Thelxis servers. We keep only what is needed to run your account, your subscription, and fair-use limits.

The text you transform

When you use Thelxis Cloud, your selected text passes through our service only to reach the language model that produces the result. It is streamed back to your Mac and then discarded. No Thelxis log or database ever contains that content. We record only anonymous counts — the number of tokens and requests — to enforce quotas and reconcile costs.

When you use a local provider (the codex CLI or your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint), the text goes directly from your Mac to that provider and never touches Thelxis servers at all.

In every case, the language-model provider that generates the result receives the text to be transformed and processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.

What we collect

We do not collect payment card details. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple (Mac App Store) or our payment processor.

Who else is involved

Retention & deletion

Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; a deleted account cannot be used to sign in again.

Children

Thelxis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
